A Brecon sheep dog trainer has gone without birthday presents this year, in favour of a generous charitable gesture.

Mr Trevor Morgans recently celebrated his 90th birthday with his wife Evelyn, along with family and friends at The Castle Hotel in Brecon.

Mr Morgans is a sheep dog trainer who is known very well locally and nationally - it is a pastime he still continues to carry out to this day.

He and his wife requested the guests at his birthday party give donations for the League of Friends of Brecon War Memorial Hospital instead of receiving birthday gifts.

The League of Friends are always very pleased to receive donations which help to support the hospital by providing additional facilities for patients and staff.

The League of Friends thank Mr and Mrs Morgans for their kind donation and also for the generosity of the people of Brecon area who continue to donate and help the hospital.
