A man has been arrested following a two-vehicle collision on the A470 between Brecon and Felinfach.

Dyfed-Powys Police received a report of the crash at around 1:50pm on Saturday (July 25)

A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle with an alcohol concentration above the prescribed limit and driving with a concentration of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit.

Two people, including the arrested man, were taken to hospital by ambulance for further medical attention.

The road was closed while officers carried out enquiries at the scene, the vehicles were recovered and debris was cleared.

The A470 reopened at around 6pm.

A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson said: “Dyfed-Powys Police received a report of a two-vehicle collision on the A470 between Brecon and Felinfach at approximately 1:50pm on Saturday, July 25.

“One man, aged 28, has been arrested on suspicion of ‘Driving a motor vehicle with alcohol concentration above prescribed limit’ and ‘driving a motor vehicle with concentration of a specified controlled drug above specified limit.’

“Two people, including the man arrested, were taken to hospital via ambulance for further medical attention.”
