A man has been arrested after being suspected to be walking through Llandrindod Wells with what was believed to be an air rifle.
Officers from Dyfed-Powys Police were called to the Golf Link Road area at around 3.10pm on Friday, October 29 following reports by members of the public.
Officers swiftly attended and Christopher Smith, aged 34, from Llandrindod Wells, was arrested and has been charged with possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. He was remanded in custody on Monday, 1st November.
DI Fay Lantos thanked the public for their cooperation during the incident, and reassured the community that there was no cause for further concern.
