A MAN who died in a crash between a tractor and a car on the A483 in mid Wales has been named as 62-year-old Peter Scott.
Mr Scott, who lived in Llangammarch Wells, was a member of Powys council's Highway Grounds and Street Scene team.
He was also a member of Builth Wells Golf Club where the club secretary Simon Edwards said members were 'numb' with grief.
The accident between a black Renault Clio and the tractor occurred at 4.35pm on Sunday on the main road between Garth and Cilmeri. Mr Scott was driving the Renault Clio. No one else was hurt in the accident.
The road was closed with diversions put in place for several hours while investigations were carried out and the vehicles recovered.
Dyfed-Powys Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, or was travelling along the stretch of road at about the time, to contact the Brecon Roads Policing Unit by calling 101, quoting incident number 203 of Sunday, January 7.
