McCARTNEYS held their annual award awards celebrations at the Elephant & Castle in Newtown on January 26.

This great venue saw the whole firm come together to celebrate another successful year in 2018. Compered by Matthew Kelly the evening was a great success and an opportunity for the partners to thank all the staff for their hard work and dedication. The award winners were nominated for their outstanding contributions across all parts of the firm.

The much coveted and fought for Office of the Year award was justly presented to Welshpool Office. Jamie Tulloch and his team collected the award from Tom Carter. Welshpool office is just 11 years old (our youngest office) and has consistently performed taking market share, promoting and developing the Fine & Country brand and delivering excellent levels of customer service. Negotiator of the Year also went to Welshpool and to Danielle Allison, Danielle joined McCartneys in 2017 and has proven to be a professional and much respected member of the team who we believe has a great future ahead of her.

Most Promising Newcomer for Property went to Andrea Rimmer who joined our Knighton team last year. Andrea has demonstrated a real flair for her role and we can’t imagine the office without her. Her award was presented by Glyn Owens.

Amy Williams from Brecon scooped the Most Promising Newcomer for Agrics and Chris Jones from Brecon presented her with the award and thanked her for her hard work and dedication.

Sally Parkes from the Ludlow office won the Best Customer Service Award for the second time. Debbie Anderson presented the award to Sally saying she is a consummate professional in our field.

Leah Matthews from Phipps & Pritchard Kidderminster Office was given her award by Zoe Herbert, Leah has shown great dedication and brilliant team spirit in a busy work environment.

Jenny Layton-Mills presented Beth Hanson with the Professional of the Year Award, Beth Hanson works alongside Gareth Wall at the Kington office providing excellent service and advice to the surrounding community.

Sheila Hennessey won the Unsung Hero award. Sheila is head of Credit Control and is based in the busy accounts department in the Ox Pasture.

James Amphlett was awarded the Livestock Market Award, Clive Roads presented the award to him thanking him for his work at Worcester Market.

The final award of the night was Drover of the Year. Livestock Markets are busy and challenging environments where we rely on the drovers to keep them running and maintain a high level of safety, David Stallard who has been with the company for many years was given this award to recognise his skill and attention to detail in the workplace.

The evening was also a time to celebrate the numerous industry awards which the company won in 2018 including Best Professional Services Business at the 2018 Midlands Rural Business Awards, Ludlow Office won a Gold standard in the British Property Awards for Regional Estate Agent in Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire and West Midlands and a Gold Award for Best Estate Agent in Ludlow. We also scooped the Excellence in Leadership and Management Award at the annual Powys Business Awards.

We have much to look forward to in 2019, the launch of our new website and a fresh new look for our for sale boards.

Our newly appointed chairman Clive Roads will be steering the ship through the waters of another unpredictable year where we look forward to continuing to serve our wider community with our unrivalled professional, agricultural and property expertise.
