South Powys Mind’s festive Mental Elf fun run will return to Brecon on Sunday, November 29, raising money for mental health services in the area.
The family-friendly event will take place at the Promenade park bandstand, with festivities starting at 10am and the run beginning at 11am.
Nearly 200 people took part in last year’s event, with many more turning out to cheer on friends and family.
This year’s fundraiser will include a fancy dress competition, raffle prizes, hot drinks and freshly baked cakes.
Marie Davies, chief executive of South Powys Mind, said: “We’re really excited for this year’s Mental Elf event.
“Community support means so much to us, and seeing so many people show up to support mental health services in South Powys is a wonderful thing.”
She encouraged people to get involved by taking part, cheering on participants, donating raffle prizes, sponsoring the event or organising their own fundraising activities.
South Powys Mind, formerly Brecon and District Mind, supports people affected by mental illness and emotional distress in the community.
