The Met Office has extended it’s yellow weather warning for today’s thunderstorm to last until later this evening.

Heavy rain could continue until 7pm this evening.

However a spokesperson for the Met Office has said: “There is a reduced likelihood of impacts from thunderstorms within the warning area given recent evidence however there remains a risk of thunderstorms developing.

“The area has been extended slightly eastwards and the end time also extended as there is potential for some further thunderstorm activity to develop this afternoon as the main rain area clears northwards.”
