Members of Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service were busy last week at the Royal Welsh Show in Llanelwedd, engaging visitors with a variety of activities and safety advice.

Over four lively days, the fire service’s stand offered plenty for children and young people to enjoy. Visitors could try on a firefighter’s kit, colour in Sbarc-themed sheets, get temporary Sbarc tattoos, and take part in an ‘Electrical Dangers’ competition, helping raise awareness about fire safety in an interactive way.

Located in a prime spot at the showground, the stand attracted a steady stream of visitors. Community Safety team members were on hand to provide free safety guidance and advice. The fire service also joined forces with partners including the RNLI, GoSafe, and Dyfed-Powys Police to promote vital safety messages under one roof.

Families enjoyed snapping photos dressed as firefighters or alongside Sbarc, the fire service’s popular mascot.

A spokesperson for the fire service said: “We want to thank everyone who visited our stand. We hope you've had a safe and enjoyable week and look forward to seeing you all again next year!”
