BRECON and Radnorshire MP Chris Davies met Andrea Gordon from Guide Dogs for the Blind at his Builth Wells constituency office on Friday, October 20.

Their meeting covered various topics from sight loss in Wales, children’s mobility and future campaigns planned by the organisation.

Youngsters with sight problems don’t get support from local authorities in the holidays.

Mr Davies has previously backed a campaign to raise awareness about the dangers of parking on pavements for those with sight problems.

Mr Davies said: “My meeting with Andrea was extremely insightful, we discussed a variety of topics affecting those with sight loss. From the ‘streets ahead campaign’ to the ‘Parking on pavements campaign’. I will continue to work closely with Guide Dogs for the Blind to raise awareness, and will be looking closely at any legislation that may follow their future campaigns.”
