Representing Brycheiniog Tawe Nedd in the Senedd is a privilege that I’ll never take for granted. I’d like to thank everyone who placed their trust in me at the recent election whether you voted for me or not. I’m determined to work hard for every community across our constituency and ensure your voice is heard in Cardiff Bay.

It’s hard to believe we’re only three months into this Senedd term. Politics has already been moving at a remarkable pace, with Wales settling into a new Government and the keys to No. 10 having already changed hands for the seventh time in a decade no less.

Having spent much of my life farming, I understand both the opportunities and challenges of living and working in rural Wales. That perspective will continue to shape the issues I raise in the Senedd.

One of my first contributions was to call on the Welsh Government to make urgent improvements to education. Too many children are leaving school without the basic literacy and numeracy skills they need, with Wales continuing to lag behind England.

Good schools, a strong NHS, and thriving local businesses are all essential to keeping our rural communities prosperous, and I will continue pressing ministers to focus on the issues that matter most to families across Mid Wales.

Throughout the summer recess and beyond, I will be visiting businesses, farms, charities and community organisations across the constituency to hear directly about the challenges they face. When the Senedd returns in September, I will hit the ground running, giving our communities a strong voice and providing a challenge to the establishment.

If you need my assistance with a local issue or have a matter you would like to raise, please do not hesitate to get in touch with my office.
