A MOTHER-of-two who completed the Hereford Race for Life in July less than seven weeks after beating cancer wants to say thank you to everybody who supported her.
Charlotte Guy, 32, who runs the Sandwich Cellar in Hay-on-Wye with her mother, Jane Allport, had a hysterectomy in May following an early cervical cancer diagnosis from a routine cervical screening test.
Now fully recovered, she said she is grateful to the readers of the Brecon and Radnor Express as well her family and friends for sponsoring and supporting her.
She said: “Due to the fact that I was still recovering from cervical cancer, I was unable to run the course but I walked it and raised over £1,700 for Cancer Research. Thank you everybody.”
