POWYS council leader Barry Thomas has reshuffled his slimmed down cabinet.
Llangynidr member Councillor Rosemarie Harris, who was re-appointed to the cabinet this week, will take responsibility for housing.
Her appointment followed the resignation of Cllr Phil Pritchard while Cllr Darren Mayor had resigned earlier in April from the 10 member cabinet.
However Cllr Thomas has confirmed he will continue with a nine member executive until next year’s council elections.
He said: "The changes will come into force with immediate effect and are designed to give cabinet members new challenges and wider experience of council operations.
"The cabinet will continue with nine members and that has resulted in some services being re-allocated to existing cabinet members.
"Joint deputy leader, and cabinet member for finance, Councillor Wynne Jones in addition to his existing role will now take on responsibility for legal services, communications and other central services.
"Councillor Avril York, cabinet member for regeneration and planning, will add ICT and central services to her existing responsibilities and Councillor John Powell, cabinet member for environment and sustainability will add human resources to his existing area of responsibility."
