A single vehicle collision on the A470 closed the road from Nantddu to Storey Arms last night after a van flipped onto its side.

At around 10pm on Wednesday, November 19, a Citroen Relay Van flipped onto its side and caused a blockage in both directions due to the amount of diesel and debris on the road from the vehicle involved.

No injuries were reported from the collision, with paramedics on the scene. The road remained closed while the vehicle was recovered. Roads were cleared, and reopened in the early hours on Thursday, November 20.

A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Dyfed-Powys Police received a report of a single-vehicle collision involving a Citroen Relay Van on the A470 between Nantddu and Storey Arms at around 22:00pm on Wednesday, November 19.

“The vehicle involved flipped onto its side, paramedics were present at the scene, but no injuries reported.

“The roads were blocked in both directions, due to the amount of diesel and debris on the road from the vehicle involved.

“The Cefn Coed remained closed while a vehicle was recovered and roads were cleared, and reopened early hours Thursday, Nov 20.”
