An individual was taken to hospital yesterday (Sunday, August 2) after a van and motorcycle collided on the A40 between Llandovery and Halfway.

The collision happened at around 5:50pm.

One person with serious injuries was taken to hospital by ambulance.

The road remained closed whilst emergency services were at scene, and to allow for vehicle recovery.

The road re-opened at approximately 4am today (Monday, August 3).

A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Dyfed-Powys Police received a report of a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A40, Llandovery to Halfway, at approximately 5:50pm on Sunday, August 2.

“The collision involved a motorbike and a van.

“One person with serious injuries was taken to hospital by Ambulance.

“The road remained closed whilst emergency services were at scene, and to allow for vehicle recovery. It re-opened at approximately 4am Monday, August 3.”
