A PROTEST walk has been staged by parents who claim their community will become an 'educational black hole' under plans to reorganise local schools.
Some 20 people walked the three and half miles along the main road from Llyswen to Three Cocks to protest at plans to close four existing primary schools at Glasbury, Llanigon, Ffynnongynydd and Rhosgoch.
They walked the route as under the plans, published by Powys County Council, Archdaecon Griffiths School in Llyswen would be 're-modelled' to accommodate children from the Three Cocks area.
