Two Brecon roads are due to close temporarily next month while gas mains replacement work is carried out.

Danygaer Road will be closed from October 26 to November 6 to allow the work to take place.

St Michael Street will then be subject to a temporary closure from October 28 to November 6.

Powys County Council has issued temporary traffic orders for both roads under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Alternative routes will be signposted where applicable, with the closures in place for the stated periods or until the works are completed.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time for journeys while the work is carried out.
