Police throughout Powys will be flying the rainbow flag today to show their support to LGBT members of staff and the community.
Dyfed-Powys Police have said they will also be wearing orange ribbons throughout the county as they take part in the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia (IDAHOT).
The day is an annual landmark to draw the attention of politicians, local authorities, the media, opinion leaders and the public to the stigma, abuse and discrimination that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people continue to face in society.
The police said that its staff and officers are sporting the orange IDAHOT ribbons to raise awareness and also to show their support and commitment to equality and diversity.
Chief superintendent Vicki Evans said: "The ribbon symbolises a very positive message and strong illustration of commitment to the wider equality and diversity agenda across the fore and the communities it serves.
