POLITICIANS say they are still receiving complaints about domiciliry care in Powys after new providers were appointed. Last week it was revealed Powys County Council had contacted police and the Welsh care inspectorate alleging a minority of outgoing carers were deliberately unhelpful during the handover process by changing key codes and failing to transfer paperwork. The council has faced criticism since awarding the care contracts to new providers - with some clients alleging their subsequent care has been jeopardised. Liberal Democrat AM and MP for Brecon and Radnorshire, Kirsty Williams and Roger Williams say they have been told the council is contacting service users to make sure they are satisfied. The party's Mid and West Wales AM, William Powell, who is also a member of Powys County Council, said he is still receiving complaints. The council has said it is committed to providing vulnerable residents with full support and anyone concerned about the delivery or level of care a family member is receiving can call its Adult Services on 0845 6027050 or 01597 827633.
