The Leader of Powys County Council is inviting residents to speak to him directly as part of a new initiative aimed at strengthening links between the council and the community.
Cllr Jake Berriman will host the first of his monthly ‘Time to Talk’ sessions on Wednesday, July 23 – during Royal Welsh Show week - offering local people the chance to ask questions, raise concerns, or share ideas in a one-on-one online setting.
The scheme will give up to 12 residents each month the opportunity to book a short appointment with the council leader via Microsoft Teams. The informal meetings will be held on the third Wednesday of every month, with each session lasting a total of two hours. Appointments will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.
“This is about listening, learning, and leading together,” said Cllr Berriman.
“I want to hear directly from the people of Powys - what’s working, what’s not, and how we can improve.”
Each participant will have up to eight minutes to speak with Cllr Berriman. While residents are welcome to submit their question or topic in advance, this is not required. Issues can also be raised during the appointment, and written responses will be provided afterwards if needed.
Anyone wishing to book a slot must email [email protected] by 5pm on Wednesday, July 16.
