Organisers of small events in Powys can now apply for licences more easily, thanks to a new online system launched by the county council.

The digital form streamlines applications for Temporary Event Notices (TENs), which are required for events with fewer than 500 people where a premises licence isn’t already in place. These include live music, film screenings, late-night food sales, and alcohol.

Powys County Council received over 800 applications last year, but said the old system often led to delays and errors.

Applications cost £21 and must be submitted at least 10 working days in advance.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
