The visitors took an early lead with Matt Mumford heading home an Ethan Holloway corner. Radnor levelled with a twice-taken penalty from Joey Price when brother Ieuan was brought down. A penalty at the other end saw Kerry regain their lead before half-time after Ieuan Price needlessly took out Jamie Breese, and the striker, top scorer in the Cymru North last season, rarely misses from the spot.

The introduction of Jack Clarke and Jack Williams paid dividends for Radnor, who scored twice in six minutes in the second half. Matt Croose equalised when he got the deftest of touches to Ieuan Price’s cross, and Joey Price netted his second penalty of the night after Williams was brought down. But Radnor were unable to see it out and gifted a late opportunity to Kerry, which was gratefully accepted by substitute Luke Mumford, who fired in via a post.

Elsewhere in the midweek games, Luke Boundford scored twice as Knighton Town won 2-0 at Carno in the Ardal League North East last Tuesday night. The Knighton captain delivered the goals as the Radnor Robins claimed their first win of the season.

Boundford headed Knighton in front from a Kieran Dovey free-kick on the half-hour. Knighton missed other chances in a first half when they were well on top, and Carno made a spirited effort to get back in the game after the break, with Knighton goalkeeper Ben Davies making one important save. But Knighton, despite losing the influential Shane Sutton early in the second half to a knee problem, stood firm at the back and Boundford clinched the points five minutes from time. He was taken out by Carno goalkeeper Rhys Jones, who was sent off, before smashing home the resulting free-kick.

Bow Street and Dolgellau battled out a 1-1 draw, with Steffan Williams equalising for Street after Ioan Roberts had given Dolgellau an interval lead.

Goals from Ben Jones and Kyle Capner gave Llanfair United a 2-0 win over Rhos Aelwyd, while Llanrhaeadr produced one of the best results of the night. The Tanat Valley side beat bookies’ favourites Penycae 2-0, with Iwan Matthews scoring twice.

Newcomers FC Queens Park continued to catch the eye, and Jordan Williams bagged a hat-trick in an impressive 5-1 victory at Cefn Albion despite having Michael Pritchard sent off five minutes into the second half.

Ed Baker was another hat-trick man as Llangollen Town won 5-1 at struggling Corwen.

And elsewhere, Tywyn Bryncrug made it two wins from two in the MMP Central Wales League (North), with player-manager Nick Williams, Ben Holt and Jamie Pymm on target in a 3-1 victory over local rivals Barmouth. Ethan Kinsey and Sam Cadwallader helped Welshpool Town to a 2-0 verdict at Abermule, while Llanfyllin Town followed up their opening-night draw at Llansantffraid with a 6-2 success against Bishops Castle.

Meanwhile, Caersws Development shared the spoils in an entertaining 2-2 draw at home with Berriew, who twice came from behind to earn a point. Richard Davies and Tommy Jones found the net for the visitors after Cole Robinson and Tommy Rowlands (pen) had twice given the Bluebirds the lead.
