LLANDRINDOD Repair Café volunteers have handed over tools donated by Repair Café users to Ian Jones from Tools for Self Reliance Cymru.
TFSR Cymru is a charity that supports artisans in Africa by providing them with hand tools and training. Donated tools are refurbished and sent to Africa or sold to raise funds. The Repair Café, which is run by Trawsnewid Llandrindod Transition, acts as a collection point for TSR Cymru. Donated tools are stored until there is a full load to be taken to the TSR Cymru depot in Crickhowell. The Repair Café is held on the second Saturday of every month (except December and January) from 2 to 5 pm at Centre Celf, Tremont Road, Llandrindod. If you have any tools or equipment that you wish to donate, please bring them along! Sewing machines and hand tools used for carpentry, blacksmithing or bicycles in need of repair are particularly wanted.
