A reward is being offered for the return of a small dog which got lost while walking in the Brecon Beacons.

Jagger, an eight year old black and white cross breed terrier, disappeared in the fog near Jacobs Ladder on Pen y Fan on Wednesday, June 28.

Clare Byrne, one of the dog’s owners, said: "Despite search efforts, posters, sharing on Facebook etc, he still has not been found. He is dearly loved and now nearly 48 hours have passed with no sign of him. We are desperate."

Since Jagger’s disappearance, the visibility has been poor around the mountain making it difficult to search for him properly.

Clare and her brother, James, both from Bridgend, are out again today searching for Jagger around the mountains.

They have contacted a drone company to assist their search across the mountains, however they are worried it will be hampered by The Fan Dance on July 1 and 2.

The Fan Dance is an endurance event open to the public based on the 24km SAS selection test march staged over Pen y Fan.

Clare has asked that the participants on the march keep their eyes open for Jagger. There is a reward being offered to the person who finds him.
