A BIKER who died in a crash on the A40 has been described as a "loving grandfather" by his family.

Gerwyn John Williams, who was 62 and from the Neath area, died at the scene of the crash on the A40 near Sennybridge on Saturday, September 2 at around 3.25pm.

Dyfed-Powys Police, which is appealing for witnesses to the collision which involved the motorbike ridden by Mr Williams and a silver Nissan Qashqai SUV, released a tribute on behalf of the family.

It said: "Gerwyn was a motorbike enthusiast and hard-working man, who was father to Jenna, Ashley and the late Danielle. He was also a loving grandfather to Courtney Louise, and will be greatly missed by all."

The occupants of the silver Nissan Qashqai were uninjured.
