At around 7.05am this morning police received a call regarding the welfare of an individual in the water near Erwood.

The Erwood Bridge on the B4567 was closed by Dyfed-Powys Police and reopened at 10am.

The male was brought to safety and has been taken to hospital with life threatening injuries.

In a statement, Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Police received a call for a concern for the welfare of an individual in the water at around 7.05am today (November 4) near Erwood Bridge on the B4567.

“A male was brought to safety and has been taken to hospital with life threatening injuries.

“The road was closed for emergency services and reopened at 10am.”
