Drivers in Brecon are being warned of potential journey disruption when work to improve the electricity network starts next week.
The work is centred around Kensington from Watergate up towards The Avenue, with a road closure in place from Brecon Working Men’s Club to Kensington Car Park.
The road will be closed from Saturday, February 10 until Sunday, February 18 with a diversion in place. Alternative access arrangements will be in place for residents and car park users.
The closure is needed so National Grid Electricity Distribution can update its high voltage underground cables to cope with increasing demands on the network.
A spokesman said: “We apologise for any inconvenience that these essential works will cause and would like to thank people for their patience and understanding while they are carried out.”
