A ROW has broken out over domiciliary care services in Powys - following the re-tendering of council contracts. Powys County Council has accused some existing providers that failed to win contracts of having an unhelpful attitude to the change over of care that was causing anxiety to service users and families. The council said it has discussed its concerns with police and Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales. But the daughter of a service user from Breconshire, who has asked to remain anonymous, has disputed the council's claims and blamed any shortcomings in the handover on the council and its new providers. The council is also reminding service users and families with worries or concerns about their care it can contact its adult services team on 0845 6027050 or 01597 827633.
