SUFFERING from a genetic disorder regarded as one of the biggest causes of infertility in women has inspired one Mid Wales nurse to raise awareness in her home county.

Sarah Leen (nee Morris), from Builth Wells, has lived with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) since the age of 18.

But having being told it was something she would 'grow out of', it was only when she was referred to her GP to reassess her condition this year that she first received any advice about it - a decade after being diagnosed.

Sarah, 29, has set up the Mid & South Wales Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome Support Group, which can be visited at http://www.midsouthwalespcossupportgroup.weebly.com">www.midsouthwalespcossupportgroup.weebly.com
