A PLAN to charge sixth formers for school transport has been dropped by Powys County Council but doubts over hundreds of local authority jobs remain.

The council's budget for the forthcoming year was passed with the support of just 31 of the authority's 73 councillors at a specially arranged meeting at County Hall, Llandrindod Wells on Monday, March 4.
