The Brecon Rotary Charity Calendar 2022 has sold out and raised over £900 for local charities.

The project started in March 2022 and involved local people competing for a chance to have their image in the calendar. From the entries, 12 images were chosen and the calendar went on sale last spring. Copies have travelled as far as Germany and Australia.

President Cath Quarrell said that the response to the calendar has been overwhelmingly positive and the quality of the photographs submitted were outstanding.

As well as being supported by Rotary members, local businesses and organisations have played a huge part and the whole club extends its thanks to everyone involved.

The outlets whicch helped to sell the calendars were Beacons Farm Shop, Siop Llangors, Lakeside Caravan Park, Talybont Stores, Canalside Café and Post Office, Cantref Adventure Farm & Riding Centre, Beacons Crafts, VisitBrecon, Camden Stores Farm Shop, Exclusive Wedding Wishes, Credu Brecon Shop and Hub, Centre Of Attention.

Brecon Rotary would also like to thank local businesses who sponsored the calendar, which resulted in Rotary being able to raise more money than otherwise. These sponsors include B. Jenkins Builders Merchants, Cradoc Golf Club, Christ College Brecon, Three Horseshoes Groesffordd, Exclusive Wedding Wishes, Bulwark House Ltd, McCartneys, Convivium and James Dean Estate Agents and to those individuals who sponsored the calendar in the name of Hay, Brecon & Talgarth Sanctuary for Refugees and Llangasty Parish Hall and Siop Llangors Shop.

Preparations for the 2024 calendar are already underway.
