A PUBLIC meeting is to be held to discuss plans to strip English language provision from a Powys sixth form.

Powys County Council announced earlier this week it is proposing to establish a Welsh medium only sixth form at Builth Wells High School.

The proposal, which will be considered as part of the reorganisation of secondary education in Powys by the council's cabinet when it meets on Tuesday, November 22, is part of the council's attempts to enhance its provision of education through the Welsh language.

A public meeting to discuss the council's plans for Builth's sixth form will be held at the school sports hall on Wednesday, November 16 at 7pm.
