LLANDRINDOD Wells have revealed that defender Gareth Jones will be the new player-manager of their Spar Mid Wales League second division side after Nigel Thomas stepped down.
Jones, 28, will be assisted by Dougie Taylor.
Having being Spa skipper for a number of seasons, Jones has proven leadership qualities both on and off the pitch and it was while he has had the armband that Llandrindod enjoyed their most successful period in recent history when the Broadway boys claimed an historic Emrys Morgan Cup triumph over Montgomery.
