Builth Male Voice Choir member Dave Morgan and his wife Chris enjoyed a traditional tea to celebrate VE day in Brynteg, Llandrindod Wells during the Bank Holiday weekend.
This was followed by community singing in the street of WWII songs including “We’ll Meet Again”.
The twenty plus singers the area are well practised as they have been tuning in their voices every Saturday with a mobile disco in the street since lockdown began.
“The only thing of note I did was to bake my first ever cake - but not any old cake but the one that Winston Churchill got his favourite cook to bake for him according to a recipe provided by the National Trust,” said Dave.Like most businesses, times are tough for local newspapers with advertising revenues falling and newspaper sales hit by the lockdown.
