Hay Camera Club is delighted to announce that club member Lin Wyles won a recent photo competition on the theme of ‘people at work’.
Lin Wyles from Kingstone, Hereford scored a maximum 20 out of 20 for her image ‘A Dehli close shave’. Second place winner was Tony Bennett from Kington. Over 80 entries were submitted and judged by Mike Clatworthy. The club which is enjoying a growing membership has invited a nationally renowned photographer on Tuesday, May 7. Damien Demolder will give an illustrated talk with tuition and guidance on ‘street photography’.
Damien Demolder was editor of Amateur Photographer for 15 years. Peter Seaman, chair of the club said “we extend a warm welcome members of the public to this special event. There will be a charge of £5 per person to cover costs including refreshments”. The meeting will start at 7.30pm at the Masonic Hall, Brecon Road, Hay-on-Wye.
