AN information and resource centre which secured a major cash boost from The Big Lottery Fund earlier this year to invest in the future of its community is holding a launch day on Saturday, March 14 to showcase its new IT facilities.

The £5,000 award allowed the purchase and installation of a new IT suit at the self-funded Talgarth Information and Resource Centre, near Brecon, which is run entirely by a group of 20 volunteers. The centre will now offer training, support and useful connections in the community for residents to develop their It skills, self-worth and confidence to help them find and secure jobs, and also provide an opportunity for local businesses to access the resources.

The Talgarth Information and Resource Centre 'telecentre' launch day will take place on Saturday, March 14 at 11am, all welcome.
