People in Brecon are being invited to take part in the annual “Reclaim the Night” walk this weekend, an event aimed at promoting safer streets for everyone.

The walk, sponsored by Brecon Labour Party and part of Brecon Women’s Festival, will take place on Saturday, March 7. It starts at 6:30pm outside Theatr Brycheiniog and finishes at The Muse.

Participants are encouraged to bring candles, banners, or anything that helps “bring brightness” to the walk. Organisers say the event is part of a wider effort to make streets feel safe and welcoming for everyone at night.

The route will be accessible, allowing people of all abilities to join in. Walkers will make their way through the town before gathering at The Muse at the end of the route.
