TALENTED artist Tessa Waite is inviting people to take their favourite childhood book along to The Story of Books in Hay-on-Wye during her month-long residency at the store in October.
Brecon-based Tessa will use her skills to help people keen to get involved in the project create a blog or archive for people to share based around the book or people’s memories of it.
Explaining the idea Emma Balch, the owner of The Story of Books, said: “Each book or memory will be recorded as part of a blog and will form an archive for others to share. Tessa will be using mixed media including collage, mono print and ink to create her own ‘picture books’ based on those brought or sent in to The Story of Books.”
