TICK will follow tock in Knighton after a writer withdrew a noise complaint about the town's clock.
There had been fears the 142-year-old landmark could have been silenced after a formal 'noise nuisance' complaint had been lodged about it.
But novelist Lane Ashfeldt, who runs a 'writer's retreat' style B&B opposite the clock, has withdrawn her complaint and admitted underestimating the 'strength of feeling' in the town.
She said: "I apologise for any upset that has been caused to the community."
