The penultimate stage, Stage Four, begins in Llanidloes at 11am, with the riders powering through 138.3km of beautiful Mid Wales countryside, before finishing in Hay-on-Wye at around 2.50pm. They will face a series of tough climbs – including in the Elan Valley – on what is this year’s Tour stage with the most ascent (2,280m).

Riders
A total of 114 riders representing 19 teams and 24 different nations were due to start the 2026 edition of the Lloyds Tour of Britain Women, with plenty of world-class riders and British superstars for crowds to watch.
Last year’s winner Ally Wollaston (FDJ United-SUEZ) is back looking to retain her title. The experienced Kiwi comes to the race having claimed team pursuit silver on the track at the recent Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Also in the line-up is 2024 victor and two-time road race world champion Lotte Kopecky (SD Worx – Protime) with the Belgian joined by her teammate Lorena Wiebes, the most successful rider in the race’s history.
As well as being a previous stage winner, Wiebes won two stages of the recent Tour de France Femmes (TdFF) avec Zwift and topped the points classification. The pair will also be supported by previous European champion Mischa Bredewold, who can count three major general classification wins so far this season in Spain.
Also hoping to make an impact is Kim Le Court Pienaar (AG Insurance – Soudal Team). The Mauritian rider won the opening stage of last year’s race and has been in good form this year with a TdFF stage win to her name.
And after winning two golds, a silver and a bronze for Australia at the Commonwealth Games and carrying her nation’s flag at the closing ceremony, Georgia Baker (Liv AlUla Jayco) will be back in action again.
Wesh fans can look forward to seeing British national road race champion Zoe Backstedt (Canyon // SRAM) racing back on home soil once again. She will be a favourite heading into the race after a strong season so far, including a stage win in the Tour de Suisse. She is joined by former national road race champions Millie Couzens (Fenix-Premier Tech), Pfeiffer Georgi (Team Picnic PostNL), and Alice Towers (Great Britain Cycling Team).
Elynor Backstedt, sister of Zoe, is part of a strong UAE Team L'IMAD that includes Irish champion Lara Gillespie, who is in a rich vein of form.
