A POPULAR village show which attracts hundreds of people is unlikely to go ahead this year unless someone comes forward to take on the role of show secretary.

The show, which is organised annually by the Newbridge and District Agricultural Society and is held at Berthlyd Farm, has been a fixture in the Radnorshire village's calendar for the past 54 years.

However the committee say the 2015 event could be in jeopardy unless they recruit new members.

"The future of the (August) show is in doubt mainly because we need a secretary as without one the event cannot be organised. New members are also needed to come on board to help generate more people to attend the show as we are losing money," said committee vice chairman, Debbie Lang.
