A weather warning has been issued to areas of Powys for snow and ice only weeks after the clash between Storm Emma and the Beast from the East.

Despite spring officially starting next week, today the Met Office upgraded the weather warning for areas of Powys to an amber warning - meaning be prepared - for snow and ice on Sunday.

Nicknamed the "Beast from the East 2", the weather will come from the East with a yellow warning - meaning be aware - across most of Powys from Sunday until Monday.

Areas which have been issued the amber warning include Brecon, Crickhowell, Hay-on-Wye, Llangynidr, and Talgarth.

The amber warning will also affect the bordering counties of Monmouthshire, Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taff.
