A MAN has been charged with attempted murder after a 21-year-old woman was stabbed in Brecon.
Liam John Jones was remanded in custody when he appeared before magistrates in Welshpool earlier today, Wednesday, June 20.
Jones, who is 22 and from Trecastle, near Sennybridge, was arrested at nearby Llywel on Monday evening, June 18, shortly after 7.20pm.
The woman, who is from Brecon, was taken to Abergavenny's Nevill Hall Hospital after being attacked outside the gate to a family home at Newton Green in Llanfaes, Brecon just after 6.30pm on Monday, June 18.
Jones will appear before a judge at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court on Friday, June 29.
Police described the woman's condition as stable on Tuesday.
