Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team (CBMRT) attended their 160th callout of the year on Sunday, after a walker dislocated her shoulder in the waterfalls area of Bannau Brycheiniog National Park.
Dyfed-Powys Police contacted the team at 11:30am, and using a What3Words reference, two Remote Rescue Medical Technicians quickly located her.
They provided pain relief and first aid before being joined by the Welsh Ambulance Service crew. Working carefully together, the teams guided the walker out of the steep gorge, with a stretcher on standby. Passers-by kept her comfortable and warm until help arrived.
CBMRT thanked everyone involved and wished the casualty a speedy recovery. The team is a voluntary organisation; for more information or to support their work, visit: www.cbmrt.org.uk
