Warning over calls about £600 bank card transaction

POLICE in Radnorshire have warned of a telephone scam related to bank cards.

Tricksters claim a £600 transaction has been made and ask the receiver to press 1 for details. Police have said not to provide any details.

The Radnorshire Neighbourhood Police Team have warned on Twitter: "Radnorshire NPT have been made of a SCAM that is going around the area: individuals are targetting residents by saying that there has been a transaction on your bank card and that £600 has gone out of your account, Press 1 for details.

"This is a SCAM, DO NOT provide any details".
