PEOPLE are being warned not to answer questions from a telephone caller encouraging them to make holiday insurance claims.
Dyfed-Powys Police said people in the Llandrindod Wells area have been targeted by phone callers encouraging them to make claims.
Police said the caller appears to know the householder and will ask for them by name.
Residents are advised not to interact with the caller and to end the phone call. If a resident has a genuine claim relating to a recent holiday, then they are advised in the first instance to contact the holiday company concerned.
Such calls can also be reported to Action Fraud www.actionfraud.police.uk
