A PENSIONER has told how he almost died after swallowing a wasp while sipping from a can of pop.

Peter Edwards was rushed to hospital when he had an allergic reaction to stings he suffered from the insect that had been hiding in his can of fizzy pop.

The 66-year-old, of Talgarth, vowed: "I'll never drink from a can again."
