SEPARATE applications for wind turbines at opposite ends of Radnorshire have been rejected by councillors.
Powys County Council's planning committee refused to grant planning permission for a turbine with an 84 metre high blade at Wernoog, Clyro Hill.
However despite councillors also rejecting an unrelated application for a turbine that could reach 79 metres in height at Bowdler Farm, near Knighton, the structure could still be erected.
That is because the applicant has already appealed to the planning inspector as Powys County Council had failed to decide the application in sufficient time.
The committee's decision will now form part of the council's submissions when the application is heard in May.
