IT’S on your bike for a group of ladies from Llandrindod Wells as they aim to raise money to fight cancer in women.
The eight fitness fans have taken up the challenge to complete the Women v Cancer Ride the Night event in London on May 5/6.
Starting and finishing at the Royal Windsor Racecourse they will cycle into the centre of London and back to Windsor – a distance of 100km – passing many famous London landmarks. Starting at 10pm they are aiming to finish at about 3am or 4am. Money raised from the event will go to charities fighting breast, cervical, ovarian cancer.
The women – Barbra Gough, Sara King, Julie Tracey, Jacky Jones, Sarah Leyland-Morgan, Shelley Davies, Ali Swabey and Tina Lewis – are members of Llandrindod Ladies Circle and Llandrindod Just Move. To date they have raised £2,500 of their £3,000 sponsorship target.
