PUPILS at Hay-on-Wye Primary School school are celebrating leaving their tatty old school building.

After half term the children will be moving into a new school building on their playing field. The old school is being replaced as part of Powys County Council’s plans to replace all five of the primary schools in the Gwernyfed catchment area. The children rang a bell to signal the end of an era.
