FARMING was very much to the fore at Knighton Carnival at the weekend with Knighton YFC’s national title-winning cheerleaders putting on a spectacular display to entertain the crowds.
Knighton YFC’s float was also a popular part of the carnival procession with their boisterous version of the Wurzels, famous for their late-1970s’ hits such as I Am a Cider Drinker and I’ve Got A Brand New Combine Harvester.
The day belonged, however, to the carnival’s princess Abby Durant, who was crowned by Knighton mayor Bob Andrews, and her attendants Immie Davies, Sky Dobson, Hayden Price and Jack Lapper.
